Tea Time Anyone...
My family loves tea time. We have always celebrated Sunday afternoons with the family gathering at someones house for "tea" and whatever sweet surprise the different family members have discovered as they were out and about that week or a new recipe that they were just "dying to try!" We all became the guinea pigs for this new recipe and left this weekly event filled like little pigs; so full that this afternoon event was often declared dinner as we left on our sugar high. The table would be a buzz with family and community gossip, babies would be passed around until someone (often me as I was the youngest, but still old enough) needed to manage a diaper and then a bottle. This was the way our family kept its bond of togetherness; the women of the family chatting over tea time.
Now, this ritual is for the most part a memory for me; my sisters and my mom still enjoy tea time. Today there is a trend in "Teacup florals." So today I will be turning these lovelies into beauties that we will display for sale in the shop. I can't wait to see how they turn out! Check back later for a posting.
